6.8 km of Solar Electric Fencing System in Community Forest in Gaidahawa Municipality-4, Rupandehi

We are proud to announce that Ohm Energy Nepal has successfully supplied, installed, and commissioned solar electric fencing systems! Our projects in Pohawa Mandhadhari Baba Community Forest and Nawadurga Community Forest (4.2 km) and Jeetpur Community Forest (2.6 km) total 6.8 km of fencing, protecting 122 hectares of forest from wildlife.

Features Accomplishment

Renewable Protection Solution: The solar electric fencing systems utilize solar energy to power the fences, providing reliable and sustainable protection for the forests without relying on grid electricity or fossil fuels.

Wildlife Management: By effectively deterring wildlife from entering protected areas, this project helps to preserve the reforestation efforts and natural habitats within the community forests, promoting biodiversity and ecological balance.

Off-Grid Operation: The solar fencing systems operate independently of the conventional grid, making them suitable for remote and off-grid locations where access to electricity may be limited or unreliable.

Environmental Sustainability: The adoption of solar-powered fencing reduces reliance on non-renewable energy sources, minimizing carbon emissions, and mitigating environmental impact, thereby contributing to a cleaner and greener future.

Community Empowerment: By protecting community forests, this project empowers the local communities by preserving vital resources, enhancing safety, and fostering economic development through sustainable forest management.
